UMCJ may turn profitable in 2H 2007

UMC Japan (UMCJ), a subsidiary of United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), may turn profitable in the second half of 2007, as losses for the full year will decrease sharply compared to 2006, according to UMCJ president Frank Wen.
