SMedia and Winbond to begin shipments of 2-megapixel multimedia co-processors in 1Q 2006

Taiwan-based IC design companies SMedia Technology and Winbond Electronics are expected to start small-volume shipments of 2-megapixel multimedia co-processors in the first quarter of 2006, according to market sources.
