Five major Japanese semiconductor equipment makers expect FY 2001 losses to hit 26.8 billion yen

According to Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Japanese semiconductor equipment suppliers Tokyo Electron (TEL), Nikon, Advantest, Disco and Tokyo Seimitsu (TSK) will lose a combined, estimated 26.8 billion yen after taxes in fiscal year 2001 (ending March 2002).
