Toshiba to close DRAM fab in Yokkaichi

In light of deflated demand for mobile phone and PC memory and the subsequent surplus of DRAM on the market, Toshiba has decided to stop DRAM production at its Fab 1 in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture (Japan) at the end of September.
