IBM, Sony to launch desktop processor-based notebooks in 4Q

IBM will introduce its first notebook running on a desktop microprocessor for its ThinkPad A series, possibly during the fourth quarter, according to sources. The model will be designed and manufactured by Taiwan-based Quanta Computer.
