C-Tech said to have obtained battery pack orders for use in HP, Apple products Oct 29, 17:15 Taiwan-based battery pack maker C-Tech United has landed orders from battery cell players LG Chem and Samsung SDI for battery packs that will eventually be used in notebook products from Hewlett-Packard (HP), industry sources indicated. AMOLED 2Q revenues down on decreased Samsung SDI shipments, DisplaySearch says Sep 25, 12:05 Samsung SDI, the leading supplier of AMOLED displays, had lower than expected shipments in the second quarter of 2008, which set a negative tone for the quarter, according to DisplaySearch. SDI July sales and accumulated net income decline; production of LED lead frames may be delayed Aug 18, 12:19 Taiwan lead frame maker Shuen Der Industry (SDI) reported accumulated pre-tax income of NT$231 million (US$7.36 million) from January to July of 2008, down 38.5% on year mainly because of more than NT$66 million in exchange losses in the first quarter.
