Press release, December 20; Joseph Tsai, DIGITIMES Asia

Advansus Computer, a joint venture between Asustek Computer and Advantech, has announced a tiny wireless nano-ITX barebone system, the NTC100-LX800.

The NTC100-LX800 adopts AMD Geode LX800 CPUs with a nano-ITX motherboard capable of running high-quality multimedia streams up to 500MHz. The compact system measures 170 mm × 155mm × 42mm, a size smaller than the Mini-ITX form factor, noted the company.

The NTC100-LX800 uses the CS5536 chipset, which dissipates a total of 2.5W TDP. The NTC100 series provides fanless operation with one 12V DC power connector, one optional antenna via a Mini-PCI slot, along with VGA, audio and LAN connectors. The barebone system is suitable for IP-STB, thin client, LCD wall displays and ultra-mobile applications, according to the company.
