LGE adopts LCD TV chip solution from Philips
LG Electronics (LGE) has adopted the TDA15500 single chip solution and TV 505 reference design for its entry-level LCD TVs. The TDA15500 single-chip solution is claimed to be the first LCD TV chip solution offering video decoding, personal computer key-in, image retouching, de-interlacing and teletext functions.
