Taiwan-based TV OEM firm Amtran Technology has reported February consolidated revenues of NT$4.026 billion (US$136 million), flat compared to January. Amtran stated shipments of flat-panel TVs increased in February, but due to fewer working days, revenues failed to show the growth.
February shipments reached 490,000 units, slightly higher than January, said Amtran. Sales of large-size products (42-, 47-, 55-, and 65-inch) were close to 50% of total sales, added Amtran.
The firm noted the plan to strengthen LED TV products in 2012 by being more cost effective to increase the percentage of LED TV shipments.
