About DIGITIMES Research's ICT/FPD reports
DIGITIMES Research has been publishing research reports on the ICT (information and communications technology) and FPD (flat-panel display) industries in Chinese since the fourth quarter of 2004.
Some of the reports track the quarterly shipments and developments of some of Taiwan's major sectors in the ICT and FPD industries, and these reports are regularly translated into English. Currently, a minimum of three quarterly ICT reports on the notebook, handset and digital camera sectors respectively are available in English. For the FPD industry, a minimum of four quarterly English reports are available covering the sectors of large-size LCD panels, small- to medium-size LCD panels, LCD TV, and LCD monitor.
The English quarterly reports track historical shipments, with detailed breakdown figures, of Taiwan's manufacturers in respective sectors, and offer outlook of future shipments. The reports explain and analyze market trends, as well as offering insights into individual makers' operations.
Within six weeks of the start of each quarter, we will send subscribers full reports with analyses of the industries and market trends. Subscribers will also have full access to all of our past publications for the ICT and/or FPD reports.
The data in the reports is usually aggregate based on actual shipment data from Taiwan's makers and vendors. DIGITIMES has an agreement with most of the companies to not publish and disseminate the actual company shipment amounts, but use the aggregate totals to clearly indicate trends in the industry.
We also publish reports on special topics, such as emerging trends or popular devices. While the quarterly reports focus on Taiwan makers, these topical reports, published on an irregular basis, may cover any development in the ICT/FPD industries and markets anywhere in the world. The topical reports are usually longer and offer even more in-depth analyses than our quarterly reports. The topical reports are sold separately from our quarterly report packages.
Subscribers to the reports will receive them in an electronic format, PDF files delivered by email, and also will be able to read the reports real-time via our website.
