China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT) has reported total substrates produced from its two 8.5G fabs reached 203,000 in October, up 40.5% on year, with one of the fabs (t1) accounting for 150,000 units.
Parent company TCL meanwhile said its LCD TV sales in October reached 1.377 million, with 683,000 sold in China and 627,000 sold abroad. Within the total number, 626,000 were smart TVs, with 466,000 sold in China.
From January-October 2015 TCL sold 5.65 million smart TVs, up 37% on year.
