Feature Integration Technology (Fintek), a leading supplier of super I/O solutions, lately launches a new series of high performance, low power & small packages solutions such as SIO, uSIO, high compatibility USB smart charging controller ICs, level shifter ICs, Hardware Monitor (HWM) ICs, DTV Modulator ICs, LED driver ICs, high-speed bridge ICs (PCIE to ISA, PCIE to 4/8/12 UART) & Multi protocol Serial Transceiver IC.

Fintek offers an ultra low power, wireless, high definition (HD) multimedia streaming modulator IC - F18800. Unlike the traditional cable connectivity HDMI and USB or wireless WiFi connection, the USB or Ethernet interface F18800 uses the digital TV modulation formats such as DVB-T/C/S / ATSC / DTBM / QAM via the vacant frequency band to broadcast the HD video streaming to the HD digital TV, projector, & digital signage. The devices equipped with the set-top-box or receiver could receive the content without any security code under the receiving range. Used in the IP data transferring application, F18800 can reach 32.486 Mbps band width and the transmission distance could be over 1Km. It provides an easy solution to upgrade the traditional CCTV surveillance system by the digital IP CAM basing on the existing coaxial cable framework.

To improve the components selection / design flexibility for Intel® or AMD® platform, Fintek provides a series of industry-leading Super I/O, uSIO, HWM ICs. The Super I/O implements the legacy functions such as PS/2 KB/M, Floppy, Parallel & Serial Port. Also features with the RC6/QP CIR, Intel® PECI 3.0 (Platform Environment Control Interface), & ErP-Lot 6.0 functions. In addition, the integrated HWM can monitor the several temperatures via the bipolar transistor/ thermistor/ or CPU thermal diode, monitor voltages by the dual current source method & monitor FAN by the manual/ auto stage/auto linear methods.

The new generation uSIO - F76761 integrates the above features and embedded 8032 uC with 1M byte flash. The F76761 supports latest Intel® Digital Thermal Sensor 2.0 to balance the fan noise & heat. The Fintek level shifter ICs -F75909/910 provide the best voltage design flexibility for PC vendors. The Fintek HWM IC - F75387A, F75308, developed for the working station & server, are approved & designed by the world wide companies currently. The HWM ICs can monitor the temperature, voltage, FAN & also support AMD® SB-TSI & Intel® PECI 3.0 interface. The Fintek HWM IC then continues to be the best choice for the customer.

Nowadays the industrial PC (IPC) equipments require more and more UART ports. While testing the burn in test utility with so many fully run UART ports say 10 UARTS, & with 3D Mark, the overrun would easily be occurred. The F81866A (128 LQFP) and F81803 (64 TQFP) with the selectable COM port buffer 16/32/64/128 bytes FIFO, ATX simulates AT, 9 bit protocol and F81216H with the selectable COM port buffer 16/32/64/128 bytes FIFO absolutely could reduce or eliminate the overrun occurrence possibility while testing the burn in test utility. Based on the different UART usage experiences, Fintek launches a board space saving, low power, 3 in 1 Multi-Protocol Serial Transceiver IC (RS-232/RS-485/RS-422) - F81438. In order to meet the strict IPC market standard, the above ICs are all specified in the wide temperature range -40CC ~ +85CC.

For the special usage, Fintek launches the high-speed interface bridge IC PCIE to ISA - F85526 and PCIE to 4/8/12 UART - F81504/508/512 which could be used on the board or at the express card as well. In the second half of 2013, Fintek will launch a brand new USB2.0 to 4 UART IC as well. The USB2.0 to 4 UART IC is targeted for ARM based platform with more UART ports requirement.

Fintek also provides the 8051 MCU LED lighting solutions - F66100E/F66101S with up to 40V operating voltage which is especially suited for the smart color temperature bulbs, special lamps and multi string decoration LEDs. The F66100E/F66101S has 9 or 18 PWM dimming control, two open drain GPIO pins and TX/RX function with the baud rate up to 3Mbps. Each PWM control sink current is 80mA.

After the European Commission unifying the smart phones connection port with USB, the USB fast charging demand grows rapidly. In order to define the market segment, the worldwide brand portable device providers start to provide the different USB fast charging techniques. This breaks out many compatibility issues recently. Therefore Fintek launches the 3rd generation USB fast charging controller solutions - F75198/F75204, which are all compliant with the USB charging standard such as USB Battery Charging Specification Revision 1.2, China YD/T 1591-2009, all Apple® portable devices series and Samsung® Tab charging standard.

The built in charger identification circuit allows F75198/F75204 automatically detect and identify the plug in portable devices correctly for drawing the accurate and sufficient current. F75198 is successfully approved & applied to many cross-strait vendors' power banks, USB hub, universal charger devices, and etc. The product extends to support the portable gaming devices to bring brand new charging experiences to the customers.
