MSI launches AMD 780-based motherboards

Micro-Star International (MSI) has launched its latest high-efficiency motherboard series – K9A2GM/VM, which utilize AMD's 780G/V chipsets to provide full HD playback, 3D graphics performance, and scalability and stability for mainstream gaming, multimedia and commercial PC systems, according to the motherboard maker.

The K9A2GM motherboard series is based on the AMD 780G chipset, while the K9A2VM motherboard series is based on the AMD 780V chipset, MSI detailed. These motherboards include AM2/AM2+ sockets supporting AMD Phenom and Athlon series processors, HyperTransport 3.0 technology, and DDR2 1066 memory support.

The motherboards' IGPs are based on AMD's Radeon HD 3200/3100 series supporting DirectX 10, dual displays, and DVI, HDMI, and VGA outputs.
