Leadtek launches USB-based TV tuner device
Press release, February 27; Joseph Tsai, DIGITIMES [Wednesday 27 February 2008]

Leadtek Research announced a portable digital TV tuner device, the WinFast DTV Dongle Gold.

The USB 2.0 powered PCTV device bundled with a portable DVB-T TV antenna has a silicon tuner built in to receive DVB-T TV reception and can record in MPEG-2 format. The device supports TwinView mode to display two programs with one being a live show and the other a recorded clip.

    Digitimes Research predicts there will be a total of 389 million large-sized TFT LCD panels shipped in 2H12, with 195 million in the third quarter and 194 million in the fourth quarter - with the total representing a 7.6% increase over the first half of this year.
