Commentary: Sharp phasing out RPTV business to focus more effort on the LCD TV market

Despite highlighting 56-inch and 65-inch RPTVs (rear-projector TVs) at the recent CES 2005, Sharp is now looking to phase out its RPTV line in the US market and instead focus solely on its LCD TV business, according to the company.
