Taiwan MP3-player makers: 1GB flash may dampen demand for microdrives

Some Taiwan MP3-player manufacturers are using 1GB NAND-flash storage to replace one-inch miniature hard disk drives (microdrives) as flash prices fall and microdrive supply is constrained, according to sources at the manufacturers.
