WIN Semiconductors projects GaAs wafer capacity of 8,700 this year

WIN Semiconductors, a Taiwan-based gallium arsenide (GaAs) wafer foundry, forecasts total capacity of 6-inch wafers this year will climb to 8,700 units, up from 2,300 units in 2003, according to company president and CEO Chan-Shin Wu.
