TSMC to process LCOS panels for 50,000 RPTVs this year

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) expects shipments of rear-projection TVs (RPTVs) with TSMC-processed LCOS (liquid crystal on silicon) panels to reach 50,000 units this year, according to chief technology officer Chenming Hu.
