LCD-monitor OEM prices continue to fall in December
Jimmy Hsu, Taipei; Carrie Yu, DIGITIMES [Thursday 2 December 2004]

LCD-monitor OEM prices are expected to drop this month, with 15- and 17-inch monitor quotes to drop US$3-5 and 19-inch monitor prices to fall US$5-10, according to Taiwan-based monitor makers.

However, monitor makers such as BenQ, Lite-On Technology and Sampo Technology expect shipments will stay flat or decline by 10% sequentially this month.

Despite projecting price cuts for December, the makers expect their fourth-quarter sales to rise sequentially as shipments peaked for the year in November.
