Lanner to introduce second generation gaming I/O control solution at G2E Las Vegas
Press release, November 1; Ricky Morris, DIGITIMES [Thursday 1 November 2007]

Lanner Electronics has announced the addition of the IAC-GME01, a second generation I/O control module for electronic gaming machines. The IAC-GME series controller delivers a total I/O solution – connectivity, data protection and security – to enable customers to build sophisticated gaming solutions for casino and other electronics gaming applications, said the company.

The IAC-GME01 I/O control module connects to a processor board – embedded PC or motherboard – via a USB 2.0/1.1 interface. Together with a motherboard, the IAC-GME01 provides the core hardware platform for any electronic gaming device, according to the company.

The IAC-GME builds on Lanner experience as a manufacturer of industrial computing platforms. As such, this gaming I/O control module is designed for environmentally rugged conditions. The IAC-GME gaming controller also comes with long-life supply support, the company highlighted.

Lanner will publicly demonstrate the IAC-GME01 at G2E in Las Vegas, November 13-15.

Full specifications of the IAC-GME01 are available at the company's website.
