Netbook effect on notebook industry players
Shipments are increasing for Quanta Computer, Taiwan's number one notebook maker. The company had shipments of 3.3 million in September, up from 3.1 million units one year before. However its revenues are down more than 20% from last year. The company blames the netbook trend.

However, some companies, such as HannStar Board, are benefitting from netbooks.
