Drew Henry, general manager of MCP business at Nvidia has revealed that the first Ion-based PC product will be a nettop priced at US$299, which will be launched before June this year. Henry would not however name the vendor of the system.
Henry also revealed that Nvidia is considering cooperation with VIA Technologies on a low-cost PC platform too.
Nvidia also announced its Ion platform has passed Microsoft Windows Vista WHQL certification to provide multimedia support and graphics processing.
