China market: Xiaomi to launch 8-core smartphone by year-end 2013, says paper

China-based smartphone vendor Xiaomi Technology plans to launch a new smartphone built with a MediaTek 8-core MT-6592 processor at the end of 2013, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
