Netbooks salvage PC volumes, but take a toll on shipment value, says IDC

Worldwide PC shipments fell 2.4% on year in the second quarter of 2009, while shipment value was down 19.1% over the same period, according to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker.
