TSMC CEO: Semiconductor industry to decline 5-9% in 2009

Semiconductor industry sales will stay flat in 2008 and decline 5-9% next year, with wafer OEMs seeing even steeper declines, according to Rick Tsai, CEO of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
