Epistar aims to ship brighter LEDs for notebook backlighting by end of 2008

Epistar is looking to be Taiwan's first LED maker to ship high-end LEDs with a brightness of 2,000 millicandelas (mcd) for use in notebook PC backlighting by the end of 2008, according to sources at Epistar.
