Acer aims to ship as many as 8.4 million notebooks in 2006

Acer is expected to finalize its notebook orders for next year by the end of this month, and the company is planning on placing orders for 7.8-8.4 million notebooks to Quanta Computer, Compal Electronics, and Wistron, sources said yesterday.
