Quanta Computer shipped 4.5 million notebooks in July, dropping 16.7% on month, according to the company.
Quanta brought in consolidated revenues of NT$88.992 billion (US$2.97 billion) for July, decreasing 1.58% on month and 3.98% on year, while January-July consolidated revenues of NT$544.740 billion dipped 9.78% on year. The smaller decrease in revenues compared to shipments was because ASPs of notebooks shipped in July were higher than in June, Quanta said.
Shipments in August are expected to be at approximately the same as in July, and shipments for the third quarter will be flat or slightly up the second, Quanta indicated.
