AcBel Polytech, a Taiwan-based maker of power supplies, is expected to see a small sequential increase in its consolidated revenues for the third quarter of 2012, according to industry sources.
AcBel posted consolidated revenues of NT$6.254 billion (US$210 million) for the second quarter of 2012, the highest quarterly level in recent years, according to the company.
Orders for consumer-use power supplies, including use in desktops and notebooks, set-top boxes and LCD TVs, tend to increase significantly in the third quarter, while those for industrial-use power supplies, including servers, storage devices, communications and telecom equipment and smart power grid equipment, will grow slightly sequentially, AcBel indicated.
AcBel's factories in Wuhan, western China, and Dongguan, southern China, are been running at almost full capacity, the company indicated, adding that it is considering expansion at the Wuhan facility.
