DRAM makers Nanya Technology and Inotera Memories both have reported sequential revenue declines for June, with Nanya seeing its revenues drop 4.4% to NT$3.27 billion in the month, while Inotera saw revenues slip 0.6% to NT$3.272 billion.
For the first half of 2012, Nanya posted revenues of NT$18.9 billion, decreasing 14.9% from a year earlier. Inotera saw revenues drop 11.4% to NT$17.49 billion during the same period.
However, Nanya's and Inotera's 2012 second-quarter revenues of NT$10.1 billion and NT$9.56 billion represented a 14.8% and 20.7% on quarter growth, respectively.
Nanya and Inotera both are expected to see their losses narrow in the second quarter thanks to increases in DRAM prices, according to industry sources.
