IC distributor WT Microelectronics expects its acquisition of fellow firm Techmosa International, which became effective starting February 1, to drive company revenue growth in 2012.

WT Micro announced net profits of NT$1.44 billion (US$48.8 million) on consolidated revenues of NT$70.68 billion for 2011. Both figures were the company's highest annual levels. Earnings for the year translated into a net EPS NT$5.46.

WT Micro said previously that acquiring Techmosa would complement its own product range. Techmosa supplies electronics components targeting mainly the touch-control and networking sectors while WT Micro distributes component parts generally used in PC and wireless communication applications.

In other news, fellow IC distributor Zenitron has posted record consolidated revenues of NT$35.7 billion in 2011 with net profits rising 25% to NT$550 million. EPS came to NT$2.60.

Zenitron mainly distributes touch panel ICs, touch panels and USB 3.0 products, and is also the sales agent for SanDisk.
