Global Unichip Corp. (GUC) emerged as a standout performer in the design services sector for February 2026, reporting revenue of NT$3.4 million (approx. US$106,454). This represents a powerful 60.15% increase compared to the same period last year, contrasting with the wider sector's cyclical challenges.
While other players in the industry, such as Alchip and Faraday, saw revenue declines this month due to transitions in mass-production product cycles, GUC's diversified portfolio in AI ASICs and advanced packaging designs has driven substantial growth.
The market is currently seeing a split into two. While some mass-production projects are cooling off, GUC's focus on high-performance computing (HPC) and advanced process nodes is paying off. This 60% jump proves that the underlying demand for custom AI silicon remains the primary growth engine for the industry.
