Smartphone-use lens module maker Largan Precision has reported consolidated revenues of NT$4.11 billion (US$136 million) for January, decreasing 19.40% sequentially but increasing 22.34% on year.
Of the consolidated revenues, 20-megapixel and above lens modules accounted for 20-30%; 10- to below 20-megapixel models, 50-60%; 8- to below 10-megapixel ones, 10-20%; and below 8-megapixel ones, 10-20%.
Largan originally expected sequential growth in consolidated revenue for February, but the delay in resuming production at its China plants after the 2020 lunar New Year to at least February 10 due to the coronavirus outbreak will affect its February shipments, according to market analysts.
Also due to the outbreak, China-based TF International Securities expects Largan to see first-quarter 2020 consolidated revenues drop 40-50% sequentially.
