Simplo reports NT$3.24 in 1Q19 EPS

Lithium-ion battery module maker Simplo Technology has reported consolidated revenues of NT$14.417 billion (US$467 million), gross margin of 9.60%, net operating profit of NT$750.8 million, net profit of NT$600.1 million and net EPS of NT$3.24 for first-quarter 2019.

With mainstream product lines being IT battery modules for use in notebooks, tablets and smartphones, Simplo hopes to hike the revenue proportion for the non-IT segment from 10% currently to 20-30% in five years. Simplo's BBUs (backup battery units) are being certified for use in data centers, with shipments expected to begin in second-half 2019.

Simplo has reported consolidated revenues of NT$5.252 billion for April, increasing 1.84% sequentially and 9.33% on year, and those of NT$19.669 billion for January-April grew 10.43% on year.
