Touchscreen controller IC vendor Egalax-empia Technology (EETI) has reported consolidated revenues for the first quarter of 2016 increased 6% sequentially and 25.4% on year to NT$283 million (US$8.8 million).
Robust growth in orders for industrial applications, as well as brisk demand for consumer notebooks, led to a particularly strong first quarter of 2016 for EETI. The company is expected to post further revenue increases for the second quarter, according to market watchers.
EETI focuses mainly on the market for large-size touchscreen controller ICs. The company generated revenues of about NT$1 billion in 2015, down 0.9% on year, while net profit decreased 5.9% to NT$225 million. EPS for 2015 came to NT$4.10.
