Taiwan-based Scientech has reported May revenues decreased 16% sequentially to NT$149 million (US$4.8 million), due to deferred shipments at the request of some customers.
Scientech's cumulative 2015 revenues through May amounted to NT$998 million, representing a 3.3% increase on year.
Scientech expects to post sequential revenue growth in the second quarter of 2015, thanks to steady growth in sales generated from its wafer reclaim, distributed IC-making equipment and in-house developed equipment businesses. Revenues are set to continue their on-quarter growth through the last quarter of the year, the company said.
In addition, Scientech noted that its in-house developed wet-process equipment for the manufacture of 8- and 12-inch wafers has obtained orders from international first- and second-tier semiconductor companies.
Scientech's shareholders have approved the distribution of a cash dividend per share of NT$1.50 for 2014. The company reported net profits of NT$246 million, or NT$3.04 per share, on revenues of NT$1.72 billion for 2014.
