ChipMOS Technologies, Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) and Formosa Advanced Technologies Company (FATC) are expected to benefit from Micron Technology after it completes the acquisition of Qimonda's stake in Inotera Memories, according to market sources.

With monthly capacity of 60,000 wafers from Inotera, Micron's needs for packaging and testing services will soar, benefiting its current back-end partners beginning in the first half of next year, said the sources.

ChipMOS has a long-term relationship with Micron, having providing Micron with DDR2 packaging services for three years; and SPIL started receiving Micron orders for the DRAM and flash segments in the first quarter of 2008, the sources said.

FATC may also share orders from Micron because of its relationships with Nanya Technology, which owns half of Inotera's capacity. Currently 30-40% of FATC's orders are from Nanya, the sources disclosed.
