Taiwan digital camera maker Altek to spin off IC design unit

Altek, one of the top four Taiwan-based ODM/OEM makers of digital cameras has scheduled to spin off its camera IC design unit in the second half of 2008, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) newspaper.
