Taiwan-based TFT LCD maker AU Optronics (AUO) plans to boost capital expenditures to NT$85 billion in 2004 and more than NT$80 billion in 2005, up from NT$39.3 billion last year, according to company vice president of finance and CFO Max Cheng.
