ASE to acquire NEC packaging and testing plant

Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) will acquire the IC packaging and testing operation of NEC Electronics in Takahata, Japan and a four-year service agreement to provide related services to NEC, according to a joint press release on February 3.
