Seiko Epson quits bid to order LCD driver ICs from TSMC and VIS

Seiko Epson has reportedly scrapped a plan to contract Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) to manufacture LCD driver ICs for use in color STN (CSTN) mobile phones, according to sources.
