Alibaba Tmall Genie
Alibaba's Tmall Genie smart speaker is equipped with MediaTek's MT8516 1.3GHz quad-core processor supporting voice-assistant; AliGenie, the e-commerce firm's internally-developed Chinese-voice-recognizing engine; and a TDM (time division multiplexing) microphone array supporting up to eight channels with 2-channel PDM (pulse density modulation) digital microphone interface. With built-in voiceprint recognition technology, Tmall Genie can verify up to six users. The cylindrical Tmall Genie, measuring 12.8cm in height and a diameter of 8.2cm, provides various voice-command applications that allow users to listen to music, set up schedules, book tickets, do online shopping, call taxi cabs, and inquire about weather. The smart speaker will be available in the China market in August 2017 at a recommended retail price of CNY499 (US$73.4).

HP YunOS Book 10 G1 2-in-1 device
Alibaba and Hewlett-Packard (HP) have announced HP YunOS Book 10 G1 2-in-1 device featuring YunOS operating system developed by Alibaba. The device, unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2017, will mainly target the education sector. The HP YunOS Book 10 G1 features a 10.1-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera and Intel's Atom processor. The device will not be selling through the regular retail channel and but through partnership with education units. Currently, Alibaba has partnered with 15 smart classroom software designers to create educational content for the device. The 2-in-1 device will become available in August in order to catch up with back-to-school season in September. The price for the product has not yet been announced.
