According to Digitimes Research statistics, global tablet shipments in the second quarter of 2017 totaled 33.39 million units, down 10.3% from the level of the previous quarter as white-box vendors reduced their shipments due to rising memory costs and the market experienced slowing demand as a result of the low season.
The coronavirus outbreak has disrupted production and weakened consumer confidence, with all ICT sectors bracing for major declines in shipments. Digitimes Research has conducted analyses on three mobile device sectors, namely notebooks, smartphones and tablets in the wake of the outbreak.
