Carry Technology Highlights Thunderbolt and Wi-Fi Card Reader Series

Press release 0

Carry Technology Co., Ltd., a leading developer and manufacturer of memory products and card readers based in Taipei, will highlight the wired Thunderbolt product line and the wireless Wi-Fi product line under the brand name of Apotop during this year's COMPUTEX TAIPEI.

"As the world produces higher definition digital media products, such as movies, faster data transfer rates are needed to transfer more data in a shorter time, and Intel's Thunderbolt technology is the best answer," said Carry President Taron Chang. "The transmission speed of Thunderbolt is twice as fast as USB 3.0. Thunderbolt also moves data 20 times faster than USB 2.0, which means an entire HD movie can be transferred in 30 seconds." Carry has built a Thunderbolt product line, which includes portable Thunderbolt SSD drives and Thunderbolt docking stations for Windows and Apple users. "Carry is very proud to be chosen by Intel as one of very few Thunderbolt partners in Taiwan to develop a variety of Thunderbolt-based storage products and media devices," Chang said.

The Thunderbolt docking enables you to use a single connection to create high-speed, reliable transfers between your notebook and many other devices, Chang added.

Carry's latest Wi-Fi card reader, designed for smartphone and tablet users, can read and share data wirelessly three times faster than does its preceding generation, share and copy data between a SD card and a USB flash drive, serve as a power bank with larger capacity, and create a Wi-Fi hotspot by a network cable.

Besides the Wi-Fi series, Carry will also display a full lineup of memory products during the trade show.

"We began to market our Apotop brand name at the end of 2011 and have won incredibly widespread recognition," Chang said. "We attributed that to the reliability of our product."

Apotop products can be purchased in all Apple outlets in Taiwan, around 200 other outlets in Asia, and on board all flights of China Airlines, EVA Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and Hong Kong Dragon Airlines, Chang said.
