Dell Inspiron Mini 12 to debut in Japan soon
Joseph Tsai, DIGITIMES, Taipei [Monday 27 October 2008]

Hot on the heals of Inventec subsidiary Kojinsha (KJS) who recently launched 7- and 8.9-inch mini-notebooks based on Intel's low-power consumption Atom Z5x0 (Silverthorne) CPUs, rather than the N270 (Diamondville) found in most netbooks, Dell Japan is planning to launch the Inspiron Mini 12 on October 29 featuring a 12.1-inch LCD panel and either the Atom Z520 or Z530 processors.

The Inspiron Mini 12 weighs 1.24kg with a thickness of 23.3-27.6mm. Pricing will start at 89,800 Yen (US$967), according to Dell.
