MagnaChip launches 3.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor for mobile phone cameras

MagnaChip Semiconductor, a South Korean-based fabless IC design firm that specializes in image sensor solutions, mixed-signal and digital multimedia semiconductors, today announced the launch of its high-performance 3.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor for camera-equipped mobile phones. Samples of the 3.2 megapixel image sensor are now available, with mass production slated for late in the first quarter of 2006.
