NEC Display Solutions has introduced two new energy saving projectors to its short throw NP series, the NP510WS and NP610S.

The projectors utilize ECO Mode technology that extend lamp life up to 5000 hours, and lower power consumption and noise levels (29dB) for nearly silent operation. Power management controls will automatically turn the unit off when an incoming signal is not detected from any of the inputs.

The projectors also feature dual computer inputs (VGA and DVI-I with HDCP), an integrated RJ45 connection, and 7W speaker.

The NP510WS and NP610S projectors will be available for January 2010 shipments at estimated street prices of US$949 and US$999.
