Global Mobile, a WiMAX licensee in Taiwan, presented a HTC WiMAX smartphone during Computex Taipei 2009.

The HTC MAX 4G, claimed to be the world's first integrated GSM/WiMAX handset, features a 3.8-inch 800x480 WVGA touchscreen display and runs Windows Mobile 6.1, according to the company.

The device comes with 8GB of onboard memory and supports GPS, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth.

The HTC MAX 4G has hit shelves in the Russia market.
