Elpida introduces new DDR3 that delivers highest data rate of 2.5Gbps

Elpida Memory announced the introduction of what it claims is the fastest DDR3 SDRAM.

The new DDR3 supports a maximum data speed of 2.5Gbps. It is targeted for server and high-end PC applications.

Sample shipments are scheduled to begin by the end of August, the company said.
