A production slipup has forced Micron Technology to scrap 10,000 8-inch wafers, according to IC distributors in Taiwan. The scrapped wafers would represent 3-3.5 million 256Mbit equivalent DRAM chips, or about 1-1.5% of global monthly capacity.
